Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Pricing

How fast do your jet skis go?
Our jet skis typically reach speeds of over 60 MPH, depending on water conditions and the model being used.

After the hourly charge, what other fees do we pay?
None. All fees are included in your rental price. We do not charge fuel fees, security deposits, or hidden costs.

What time should I arrive for my reservation?
Please arrive on time or a few minutes early to complete check-in and the required safety briefing. Late arrivals may reduce ride time.

Safety & Requirements

Can my kids ride with me?
Yes. Children must be at least 10 years old and must ride with an adult who is 18 years or older. No exceptions can be made.

Are there sharks?
Wildlife sightings are always possible in open water, but we have never experienced an issue involving sharks during our operations. However sea lions, dolphins, and other fish are common sightings.

Is safety equipment provided?
Yes. We provide U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jackets, and every rider receives a safety and operation briefing before launch.

The Ride Experience

How far do we have to travel before we can go fast?
From our Coronado location, you start in the San Diego Bay with no slow or channel time. Our South Bay location is calmer, so it typically takes about 5 minutes to reach open areas of San Diego Bay where higher speeds are allowed.

How far can you go in one hour?
An hour is a great introductory ride. Depending on conditions and pace, you may see landmarks such as the USS Midway, Seaport Village, Downtown San Diego, Coronado, and the Coronado Bridge.

Is the water cold?
San Diego’s climate is generally mild. Water temperature varies by season, but many guests find conditions comfortable year-round.

Equipment & Riders

What type of jet skis do you have?
We operate newer-model jet skis and update our fleet every year to provide a reliable, high-performance riding experience. Our jet skis are always within one model year old.

Can two people ride on the same jet ski?
Yes. Our jet skis are designed to accommodate two riders up to 530 lbs. All participants must be comfortable pulling themselves up onto the equipment if they fall off.

If I have three or more people, can we switch off?
For safety and scheduling reasons, rider switching is not allowed during a rental. There is only 2 people max per timeslot allowed. We will not refund you for not understanding this requirement.

Location & Logistics

Do we need a truck or trailer to transport the jet skis?
No. Your jet ski will be on the water and ready to ride at our location — no towing or setup required. We also do not deliver our equipment offsite. It must be rented and used from our locations.

Will we run out of gas or need to refuel?
Our jet skis have a fuel capacity of 18.5 gallons, allowing hours of ride time. We make sure each rental is given the proper amount of fuel in excess to compensate for variables in your rental.

Is there a beach at the launch location?
We launch from a marina location, and there is no beach adjacent to the launch area. We also do not allow beaching our equipment. To avoid an additional damage charge, do not beach equipment.
